“As a Nutrition Intern with Florida Fresh Dining, I've been able to gain hands-on experience with the dining services on campus and grow my leadership skills immensely. Seeing behind the scenes of marketing strategies and dining hall operations has been a big learning opportunity for me, especially in terms of food service dietetics. I've been trusted to lead allergen trainings for food service employees on campus, assist in Teaching Kitchen events, design educational infographics and attend tabling events, and work closely with UF's knowledgeable dietitian, Syd Watkins, amongst other things. I really felt at home working with the staff at Florida Fresh, as everyone is personable and friendly with an overall up-beat tone in the workplace.
